Joan Arlene Moyer Madison Barchetti

Joan Arlene (Moyer) Madison Barchetti, 81 years, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully Monday, April 16, 2018 at her residence with loving family at her side.
he was born July 25, 1936 in Uniontown, Pa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Harry Jacob Moyer Sr. and Elizabeth (Clausner) Moyer; a first husband, Jesse Edward Madison; second husband, Eugene Jerome “Gino” Barchetti; a granddaughter, Lauren C. Madison; a sister, Betty Maust; and a brother, Harry Moyer Jr.
Joan graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1954 and served for many years as a member of the Class Reunion Committee.
She was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Odd Fellows Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Auxiliary of the Uniontown Fire Department, a social member of the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa., and the Boy Scouts of America.
Joan was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by her family members and many friends.
Surviving are her five children: Jay E. Madison and wife Deborah of Upper Middletown, Pa., David L. Madison and wife Cindy of Uniontown, Christopher S. Barchetti and wife Laurie of Aurora, Colorado, Deborah Davies and husband Tom of Fairfax, Virginia, and Eugene P. Barchetti and wife Marlene of Uniontown, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Angela, Emilee and Jessy Madison, David E. Madison and wife Lauren, Olivia and Lola Barchetti, Matthew Davies, and Danielle and Eugene F. Barchetti; a great-granddaughter, Leah Madison; a brother, Curtis Moyer and wife Dolores of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Nancy Machosky and husband Jim of Smock, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Moyer.
Friends will be received in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, April 20, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follow at 10:00 a.m at Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, Pa.
Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery
Parish Wake Service will be held in funeral home Today at 3:00 p.m.
Visitation was also held on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the previously established Lauren Madison Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1740 Lexington Avenue Uniontown, PA 15401.
