A McClellandtown man was arrested after he allegedly bit a paramedic who revived him from a drug overdose in Uniontown, Wednesday.

Darias Deshawn Evans, 19, of Edenborn Road is charged with aggravated assault and simple assault.

Uniontown City Police, state police and Fayette EMS were called at about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday to 75 Murray Ave. for four people who were unresponsive on the porch. One of the people reported they smoked PCP and “roach spray,” according to court documents.

After Evans was revived, he allegedly bit Paramedic Jim Hammaker’s finger, causing bleeding. Hammaker was wearing a glove, and the bite did not break through the glove, court paperwork indicates. He was treated at Uniontown Hospital.

Evans is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.
