Education: Now former Masontown High School, Class of 1953; California State Teachers College (now California University of Pennsylvania), California Pa., Class of 1957, Bachelors of Science in Education: Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa., Masters in Education (Ed.M. – 1960), Doctorate of Education (Ed.D. – 1973); further graduate work at the University of Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, and the Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania.
Career: Classroom teacher, Curriculum Specialist, Reading Supervisor, and Curriculum Supervisor in several school districts in Montgomery County and Bucks County, Pa.; Research for Better Schools, Philadelphia, Pa.; college teaching at the Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pa., and the now former Beaver College (Arcadia University), Glenside, Montgomery County, Pa., where received the monetary Lindback Foundation Award for distinguished teaching and developed graduate level programs. Founded the Tutoring Learning Clinic in Glenside, Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pa., which was in operation for eleven years when many loving, longlasting friendships were formed.
Publications: Co-authored with Lucille Wallower several social studies textbooks on Pennsylvania for children; wrote numerous professional publications and teaching guides for teachers.
Interests: Writing poetry, reading, traveling, genealogy, music, photography, learning, research, history, theatre, art, dance, teaching, conceptual and creative thinking processes, friends and family.
