Gerald R. Onesi “Jerry”
Gerald R. “Jerry” Onesi, age 92, Uniontown Pa., passed away with his family by his side on Saturday August 11, 2018
Jerry was born on Saturday, November 14, 1925 in Revere, Pa., son of John and Katherine (Summa) Onesi.
He ass preceded in death by his parents; brother, Salvatore Onesi; sisters, Marietta Onesi, Ermenia “Nena” Luna.
Jerry ran a successful family-owned automobile repair since 1950.
He had a lifelong passion for music and recorded two full-length CDs). He routinely sang at Storey Square, in the Saint Therese Choir, and other local music venues. Later in life, Jerry shared his music at local nursing homes.
He was a lifetime member at Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church.
Jerry had a passion for stamp collecting/trading.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita (Savage) Onesi; sons: Gerald “Jerry” Onesi Jr. and wife Jamie, Joseph Onesi and wife Karen; daughter, Kathy Franko and husband Greg; six grandchildren: Sara Onesi, Danielle Onesi, Greg Franko, Chelsea Mongell and husband Matt, Joseph Onesi, and Katie Onesi; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Friends will be received in THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., Monday, August 13, from 3 to 7 pm and Tuesday, August 14, 2018 until 9:15 a.m. at which time Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Parish Wake Service will be held in funeral home Monday at 3:00 p.m
