Douglas James Burnworth, age 70, of Confluence, Pa., passed away Monday, August 20, 2018.

He was born in Confluence, Pa., Friday, July 23, 1948 son of the late Carl and Eleanor (Alden) Burnworth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Christa Faye and Cheryl Lynn.

Mr. Burnworth was a member of the Addison United Methodist Church

He was a retired Design Engineer for Gilmore Manufacturing in Somerset, Pa.

He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pauline (Conaway) Burnworth; three children: Jill Smith and husband Jason of Connecticut, Theresa Thomas of New York, and Charles Burnworth of Ohio; grandchildren: Zachary Smith, Makayla Smith, James Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas, Tessa Burnworth and Amber Burnworth; sisters: Carol Carder and Denise Simon and husband Christopher

There will be a gathering of friends and family Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the ADDISON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 739 Main Street, Addison, PA 15411 with Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam McClintock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Addison United Methodist Church

Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, Pa.
