Coal Center man dies in one-vehicle crash

A Coal Center man died in a one-vehicle crash Saturday after losing control of his motorcycle, the Washinton County Coroner’s Office announced Sunday morning.

John Robinson, 61, crashed on West Malden Drive in California at 6:11 p.m. and was transported by Brownsville EMS to the emergency room at Monongahela Valley Hospital, where he died at 6:59 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

The crash is under investigation by the California Borough Police Department, according to the coroner’s office, which noted that Brownsville EMS and California Borough Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
