Kathleen R. Myers Kutek “Wossie”
Kathleen R. “Wossie” (Myers) Kutek, age 72, Newboro, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday August 23, 2018 at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born on July 20, 1946 daughter of the late Catherine (Johnson) and Glenn A. Myers Sr.
Kathleen loved playing cards with her friends, attending Bingo, but especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her dogs, Pete, Butchie and Lilly.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Joseph Kifus Sr., Thomas Kutek, Paul Kutek Sr. and Peter Kutek.
Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Edmund R. “Porky” Kutek Sr.; daughter, Rebecca L. Umbel (Rich); son, Edmund R. Kutek Jr. (Tracy); son, David A, Kutek (Angela); grand children: Anthony Kutek (Larissa), Meghan Kutek, Dylana Kutek, Janelle Umbel, David Kutek, Jr.; special niece and nephew Sarah Novak and Jeffrey Kifus; the joys of her life, her great-grandchildren: Ellie Rose, Harper Reid, and Wade Edmund; brother, Glenn Myers Jr.; brothers-in-law: John Kutek (JoAnn), and Alexander “Jack” Kutek; sisters-in-law: Joan Novak (David), Rita Kutek, Donna Kutek, Mary Kutek; special aunt, Elizabeth Croce; also a multitude of nieces and nephews and their children.
A special thank you is extended to the Uniontown ICU and to the UPMC Shadyside nursing staffs for their care and support of Kathleen and her family.
Visitation will be held at the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today, Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2 until 4 p.m.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kathleen to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
