Uniontown woman arrested in attack on 81-year-old woman
A Uniontown woman was arrested after she allegedly pushed an 81-year-old woman off her porch, causing a broken rib Friday night.
Jamie Lynn Boggs, 39, of 53 Walnut St. is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in the case, Boggs was arguing with a man next door to Marge Whoolery at about 9:30 p.m. Boggs insulted Whoolery and went onto her 49 Walnut St. porch, then allegedly grabbed Whoolery and pushed her over the porch railing. She fell about 4 or 5 feet and landed on her back, police said.
A witness, Nicholas Evans, told police he did not see the alleged assault, but saw Boggs on the porch and Whoolery on her back. He said he pulled Boggs off the porch.
Whoolery was later taken to Uniontown Hospital by ambulance, where she was treated for a broken rib.
Boggs was arraigned Saturday night by on-call Magisterial District Judge Nathan A. Henning, who set bail at $50,000. She is lodged in Fayette County Prison.
