Marjorie D. (Riffle) Gower
Marjorie D. (Riffle) Gower, 88, of Buffalo, New York, passed away peacefully Friday, January 26, 2018 in Buffalo, following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 29, 1929, the oldest daughter of the late Harry and Hiawatha (Beck) Riffle, she was raised in New Geneva, Pa., and was a 1947 graduate of the Point Marion High School.
She is survived by her four loving children and their spouses, Robert W. (Sally) Gower, Jr. of Buffalo, Lou Ann (Jeff) Phillips of Raleigh, NC, Donna (Pete) Gigone of Scotia, NY, and Linda (John) Snow of Springfield, VA; nine devoted grandchildren, Megan, Bradley, Emily, Erik, Jonathan, Colin, Laura, Jimmy and Samantha; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Arose and Maureen (John) Doerfler.
Her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert W. Gower, Sr., passed away on March 7, 2013.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Saturday from 11AM until 2PM. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva.
