Fairchance man charged with allegedly sexually assaulting teen
Charges have been filed against a Fairchance man for allegedly forcing a 17-year-old male into sexual situations on several occasions when hired to do work in the man’s house.
Multiple sexual assault charges were filed against Patsy Marlin Marano, 66, of Jordan Street before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Shimshock on Friday.
On Dec. 13, the alleged victim reported the alleged sexual assaults to the state police.
According to court documents, the boy informed the police that the assaults occurred between July and November and started when Marano contacted him about doing work at Marano’s home.
Once at Marano’s residence, police alleged, Marano inappropriately touched the teen. Police also alleged Marano showed the teen pornography and performed a sex act on him.
A complaint filed in the case included other details of alleged sexual assault.
The teen reportedly told police that the incidents occurred between seven and eight times, adding that the fourth or fifth time, Marano tried to have the male “do things to him” and when the male said no, Marano got mad.
When Marano would drive the teen home, he would pay him for the work he did as well as pay him extra money to not tell anyone, police alleged.
Marano was charged with seven counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, corruptions of minors and indecent assault without consent.
He will be arraigned at a later date.
