Bertha Pearl Darnell Swihart
Bertha Pearl (Darnell) Swihart, 68, of Gans, Pa., died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
She was born on Friday, May 20, 1949 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert Darnell and Ruth (Cress) Darnell; her husband, David Earl Swihart; and siblings.
Surviving are her three children: Tina Ross and Jeff Townsend of Smithfield, Pa., David and Michelle Swihart of Lake Lynn, Pa., and Eric and Kim Swihart of Lake Lynn, Pa.; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Linda and Don King of Morgantown, West Virginia, Albert Darnell of Gans, Earl and Lisa Darnell of Morgantown, West Virginia; siblings- in-law: Cheryl Swihart of Lake Lynn, Pa., Lu Swihart of Lake Lynn, Pa., Toni Swihart of Smithfield, Pa., and Sam Swihart of Fairmont, West Virginia; many nieces and nephews; and her companion, Frank Dodson.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Charles Ruble will officiate.
