Rudolph Stephen “Rudy” Harmon, 73, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at home surrounded by his family

He was born October 4, 1944 in Oliver No. 1, Pa., a son of the late John and Catherine (Butwin) Harmon.

In addition to his parents, Rudy was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Joseph “Peewee”, John, and Tom Harmon.

Rudy was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.

He was also a member of Point Marion Eagles, North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543, and the AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Pa.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy L. Harmon; his two sons: Scott A. Harmon and his wife Janice of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Eric Stephen Harmon and his wife Martina of Manassas, Virginia; his grandson, Lucas Stephen Harmon; his brother, William J. Harmon of Silver Spring, Maryland; his sisters: Dorothy Zubovic of Uniontown, Pa., and Mary Ann “MAP” Pillar of Uniontown, Pa.; Godchildren: Joseph Harmon of Ohio, Rachelle Beatty of Morgantown, West Virginia, Barbara Belan of Point Marion, Pa., Maria Harmon of Collier, Pa., Amanda Mashiana of Stafford, Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

The Harmon Family sends our deepest thanks and appreciation to Jo Jankoski for her care and support during these recent, difficult times.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, February 10, 2018 until 9:00 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.

Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, PA 15401 or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, www.npcf.us.
