Betty Jean Humbert Kanapky
Betty Jean (Humbert) Kanapky, 92, Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018.
She was born on September 10, 1925 at Sulfur Spring, Georges Township, Pa., daughter of the late Otto Humbert and Bertha E. (Ellsworth) Humbert.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clarence Frank Kanapky; five brothers and four sisters.
Betty was a good homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are her two daughters: Twillet Jean Rosner and husband Richard of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Diana C. Dils of Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Richard Dale Rosner Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., Wesley Rosner and his fiance* Anita Shieh of Hollywood, California, Jan-Michael Rosner and his wife Krysta of Glendale, California, Donald A. Dils IV and his wife Apollonia of West Virginia, Angela Dils Warner of Uniontown, Pa., Tiffany Cummings and her husband Ronald Cummings Jr. of Uniontown, Pa.; great grandchildren: Kellsie Warner, Kailey Dils, Noah Warner, Chloee Dils, Wyatt Dils and Oliver Dils; sister, Janet Robinson and husband Jack of Smithfield, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
She was the former owner and operator of Betty’s Beauty Shop.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairchance, Pa., and former member of the Circle Club in Uniontown and the Uniontown Chapter 263 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She loved traveling and seeing the United States of America.
Betty believed and lived her Christian faith strongly.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday, February 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m
Visitation continues on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 17 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Pete Malik officiating.
Interment will follow in Smithfield-Fairchance American Legion Post 278 Veterans Cemetery at Maple Grove, Fairchance, Pa.
