Gloria Jean Hancheck, 67, of Shoaf, Pa., passed away peacefully Tuesday February 20, 2018.

She was a beautiful woman in all aspects of her life, and she treasured the wonderful memories that she and her family had together throughout the years.

She enjoyed cooking and baking for family on the holidays, and she especially looked forward to spending time and playing with all the nieces/nephews, great nieces/great nephews.

Some of her hobbies included planting flowers around her house, going to bingo and the casino, and enjoying Black Friday shopping trips with the nieces.

She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on June 9, 1950 a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Hancheck.

She was the beloved spouse of the late Chuck Sisson.

She had six siblings (the late Catherine Grsetic, Stephen “Butch” and Brenda Hancheck; Thomas and Erica Hancheck; Deborah and Jeffrey Gmiter; Richard and Bea Hancheck; and Gary Hancheck). She is survived by twelve nieces and nephews (Kelly and Dave Rattay; Stephanie and Terry Jordan; Jeffrey and Jeremy Gmiter; Stacey Hancheck; Aaron and Crystal Hancheck; Megan and Allen Harvey; Rachel and Larry Wise; Christina and Blair George; Gary Lee and Krysten Hancheck; Sarah and Steve Champlin; Anna Lee Hancheck and Brian Marsh; Kayla Hancheck and Mario Piccolomini) also sixteen great nieces and great nephews (Kathlyn and Brandon Baker, David Rattay, Heather Rattay and Tyler Watson; Dexter and Millie Jordan; Jenna and JT Gmiter; Shelby and Mason Hancheck; Ryan Harvey; Bentley Wise; Bradley and Noah George; Garrison Hancheck; Abram and Isiah Champlin) and three great-great nieces (Khloe, Lylah, and Scarlett Jean Baker).

Gloria Jean’s spirit will forever be cherished by her family for her amazing ability to touch the hearts of anyone with whom she came into contact.

The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, February 26, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in SS Cyril and Methodius Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa.

Interment follows in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
