Ruth Elaine Smith Morgan
Ruth Elaine (Smith) Morgan, 83, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa.
She was born in West Overton, Pa., on June 28, 1934 the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Ruth Fern (Davis) Smith.
Before retiring, she was employed as a Trouble Shooter at General Dynamics now Seamans Systems.
Ruth loved to sew and enjoyed music, reading and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Hester Ingram.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 67 years, Austin E. Morgan; sister, Twila Smith of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; brother- in-law, Franklin “Buddy” Morgan; nephews: Stephen Ingram and Brian Ingram; and niece, Debra Ingram.
Ruth’s family extends their deepest thanks to the caring staff at Cherry Tree Nursing Center and also Amedisys.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth’s name to the First Christian Church of New Salem Building Fund.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Seven River Ave., Masontown, Pa., on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 2 to 6 p.m., the hour of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andy Miles officiating.
Interment will be at Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
