Maxine Dale Thompson
Maxine (Dale) Thompson, 92, of Grindstone Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Friday, December 18, 1925 in Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Mathew and Helen (Garrison) Dale.
A lifelong resident of Grindstone, Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Christian Church, Grindstone.
Maxine was a retired Seamstress from the former Republic Sportswear, Republic, Pa
She was member of the Brownsville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, traveling, and family time.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Blaine Sphar of Grindstone, Pa.; her son and daughter-in-law, George E. “Spanky” Thompson Jr. and wife Lorraine of Waldorf, Maryland; five grand children: Lance Zeli, Sam Zeli, Janine King, Ronald Workman, and Amanda Thompson; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Burk of Brownsville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Thompson Sr.; daughter, Helen Zeli; and a brother, Bill Manion.
A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
Interment will take place in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
