Marlene DeSatnik Boyle “Moo”

Marlene (DeSatnik) Boyle (lovingly referred to as “Moo”), age 85, of Meadow Street, Brockway, Pennsylvania died on Monday January 22, 2018 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

Born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania on Monday, December 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Ford) DeSatnik.

On December 5, 1951, Marlene was married to James Boyle. James preceded her in death on Monday, December 30, 1991. They had enjoyed 40 years of marriage together.

Retired, Marlene had worked as a Hostess at the Holiday Inn for many years and retired from Owens-Brockway Glass.

She was member of the First Christian Church.

She enjoyed reading, working on crossword puzzles, cooking, baking.

She is survived by three daughters: Renee Magee and Lorae Fairman both of Brockway, Pa., Jamie (Scott) Zimmerman of Brookville, Pa.; one son, Jim Boyle of Brockway, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Garth Magee, Channing Magee, Sean Fairman, Houston Fairman, Arianne Zimmerman, Ryan Zimmerman, Bo Boyle, Jordan Boyle, Jeremy Boyle; a great grandson, Liam Magee; a sister, Faye Wyno and her daughters Kelly and Heidi; and a sister-in-law Eileen Mills and her daughters Beth and Heather. She will be greatly missed by her two dogs: Booker and Buddy.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by a daughter-in -law, Denise Boyle; and by a brother-in-law, Rich Wyno.

Marlene was a loving, compassionate mother and grandmother with an amazing sense of humor. She was the light of our lives and will forever be missed. We are grateful for the gift of her life and a lifetime of laughter and memories that we will cherish forever.

There will be no public visitation.

A private Graveside Service will be held with Pastor Joni Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Saint Tobias Cemetery in Brockway.

The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at the DuBois Nursing Home and the staff at Penn Highlands DuBois for providing excellent care and support throughout the past eight months.

Memorial donations may be made to DAFEAT – DuBois Area Families for Effective Autism Treatment, 276 Treasure Lake Road, DuBois, PA 15801.

As Moo would say, “Just Keep on a rollin”.
