Robert J. Cerullo
Robert J. Cerullo (age 74) of Washington, D.C. and Bethany Beach Delaware passed away at his Capitol Hill home in Washington on December 7, 2017 following a long illness.
Bob was born in Masontown Pennsylvania the son of John and Lucy Cerullo.
He was devoted to his family and is survived by his beloved sisters: Dolores Cerullo Santella (husband William deceased) and Carol Cerullo DelGrosso (husband John); his aunt Violet Schnatterly; nephews and nieces: Dennis (Michelle) Santella, Mark (Janet) Cerullo, Lisa Santella, Scott (Mandi) Cerullo, Heidi (Mark) Williams, Christopher (Kristty) DelGrosso, and Melissa (Walt) Demaske, 12 great nephews and nieces and 7 great-great nephews and nieces.
Bob was predeceased by his brother, Richard Cerullo, and his sister-in-law Donna.
Bob graduated from West Virginia University, served in the United States Air Force National Guard and received a law degree from American University.
He practiced real estate law with Houlon Berman for many years and, in retirement, enjoyed renovating and reselling houses throughout D.C. He was an avid sports fan, still rooting for the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.
Bob made life better for all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on July 7th at 11:00am at the Masontown United Methodist Church with Pastor Debbie Lambert officiating.
