Susan Loretta Burd Guthrie
Susan Loretta (Burd) Guthrie, age 87, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 in King’s Personal Care Home.
She was born July 10, 1930 in Markleysburg, Pa., daughter of Park and Opal (Humberson) Burd.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. R. Guthrie; a brother, Harold Burd; and a sister, Maxine Jann
She was a member of Union Chapel Church, Markleysburg, Pa.
She is survived by a son, Gary Guthrie (Patti) of Wytheville, Virginia; a daughter Vickie Schroyer (Bob) of Friendsville, Maryland; grandchildren Vanessa Smith (Mark) of Berlin, Pa., Jason Schroyer (Lori) of Confluence, Pa., Deanna Yoder (Rick) of Springs, Pa., Heather Guthrie (Dale) of Grantsville, Maryland and Autumn Guthrie of Wytheville, Virginia; great grand children: Zoie Smith, Zia Smith, Justin Guthrie sisters: Shirley DeCarlo of Gibbon Glade, Pa., Sharon Ferrato (Bob) of Pitttsburgh, Pa., and Diane Bealko of Delmont, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, Pa., today, July 2, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 3, from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the hour of the Service. Reverend David Herring will officiate.
Interment will be in Asher Glade Cemetery, Friendsville, Maryland.
In the last years of her life she appreciated the gentle and loving care of the staff at King’s Personal Care Home and of Amedisys Hospice.
