The Washington County coroner identified the Charleroi man who officials said jumped from the Charleroi Moneseen Bridge, Thursday evening.

Coroner Timothy Warco said Richard Moulds, 55, of Charleroi was pronounced dead around 10:20 p.m. on North Charleroi 7th Street Outfall in North Charleroi.

Around 8:40 p.m., an officer from the Charleroi Regional Police Department saw Moulds jump from a scenic overlook on the bridge that spans the Monongahela River, Warco said.

His body was recovered by volunteers from the Charleroi and Webster fire departments. They were assisted at the scene by Lock Four and Monessen volunteer fire departments and Monessen police. Charleroi Regional police are investigating, Warco said.
