William Daniel Metz “Dan”
William Daniel “Dan” Metz, Eubank, Kentucky formerly of Fairchance Pennsylvania passed away Sunday May 6, 2018
He was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 29 1946 son of the late William G. Metz and Lou Ellen (Martin) Metz.
He is survived by his daughters: Kim and her husband Bob Davis of Fort Benning, Georgia and Amy and her husband Mike Richter of Connellsville, Pa.; and grandchildren: Nathan Davis and wife Mariah of Foxborough, Massachusetts, Lucas Davis and Alexandra Davis of Fort Benning.
Dan served in the United States Army from 1967-1970 earning the National Defense Medal and Good Conduct Award He later reenlisted as a Reservist and deploying in support of Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Dan worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for 20+ years and at Nemacolin Woodlands, Farmington, Pa., in his retirement.
Private Service with Full Military Honors was held at Fort Benning on July 5th, 2018. Chaplain Bob Davis officiated.
Memorial donations can be made in Dan’s name to the Gold Star Wives Memorial Fund.
