UNIONTOWN – Rep. Matt Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) invites local government officials to his local government meetings, which will be held in both Fayette and Somerset counties next week.

“The purpose of these meetings is to make local government officials aware of the local issues that residents are dealing with,” Dowling said. “It is imperative that local officials have an open line of communication with state agencies and their state representative.”

The Fayette County meeting will be held on Thursday, July 19, at 65 West Main St., Uniontown. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the event begins at 8:30 a.m. Speakers for this event include Michael Foreman from DCED, and representatives from DEP and PennDOT District 12.

If unable to attend the Fayette County meeting, another meeting will be held in Somerset County later that day, at 106 Meyers Ave., Meyersdale. Registration starts at 12:30 p.m. and the event begins at 1 p.m. Speakers for this event include Michael Foreman from DCED, representatives from DEP and PennDOT District 9, and officials from the Pennsylvania Broadband Initiative.
