Dowling to Host Senior Safe Driving Seminar
UNIONTOWN – Rep. Matt Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) is inviting drivers ages 55 and older who would like to improve upon their driving skills to attend this informational seminar.
“Senior Safe Driving is a great program for those wishing to do more to become better, safer drivers,” Dowling said. “It is my hope that this seminar proves to be beneficial to those who attend and encourages them to pass along what they have learned those in the community, especially those who are new drivers.”
This seminar will be held on Friday, Aug. 17 at the Third Presbyterian Church located on 425 Union St., Uniontown.
Seniors for Safe Driving will offer a PennDOT-approved course for mature driver improvement. The course is designed for drivers 55 years of age and older to become safer and more confident on the road. Upon completion of the course, participants may receive a minimum of 5 percent discount on their auto insurance for three years, as mandated by Pennsylvania state law. There will be no exam to be taken for this seminar.
