A Markleysburg man charged with shooting his uncle last month is facing additional charges for allegedly attempting to shoot another man minutes later.

State police alleged in court paperwork filed Thursday that after Frank T. Campbell Jr., 32, shot his uncle, John Solomon Campbell, 50, in the shoulder on June 21 in Isabella, Campbell Jr. drove to a nearby home and fired a shot at Roger Campbell.

Police did not identify how Roger Campbell is related to Campbell Jr.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Roger Campbell told police he was standing outside when Campbell Jr. pointed a shotgun out the window of the car he was driving, and fired a single round at him.

Police said Roger Campbell escaped injury when he dove behind a truck.

Campbell Jr. already faced attempted homicide and related charges for allegedly shooting John Campbell, and shooting at, but not injuring, others.

In the case involving Roger Campbell, Campbell Jr. was additionally charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr.

Campbell Jr. will face preliminary hearings in both cases.
