Boil water advisory lifted for Monongahela, Carroll Township residents

1 min read

An advisory for residents in Carroll Township and Monongahela to boil their water has been lifted.

Early Friday, Pennsylvania American Water representatives said water sample testing conducted Wednesday and Thursday led to acceptable results. The state Department of Environmental Protection authorized lifting the precautionary boil water advisory, the company said.

The notice applied to about 1,300 customers in the Eldora, Victory Hill, Black Diamond, Grandview, Wickerham Manor, Carroll Plan and Sacred Heart areas.

The water company issued the advisory late Monday after a loss in positive water pressure at a water storage tank in Carroll Township following a water main break in Monongahela. The broken main limited the company’s ability to replenish the water storage tank and local system.
