Fayette City man sentenced up to 7 years in prison for child pornography
A Fayette City man originally charged with over 600 counts of child pornography has was sentenced to serve time on 88 of those charges.
Randy Dale Roley, 45, was sentenced to serve three and a half to seven years in prison on charges of child pornography and criminal use of communication facility following a guilty plea in Fayette County Court.
He plead guilty to 87 charges of child pornography and one charge of criminal use of communication facility. The remainder of the charges were dropped.
The charges were filed after a report in January 2016 to the state police in Belle Vernon that a woman sent Roley two photographs of a 10-year-old girl sleeping in exchange for Roley to have sex with the woman.
Police issued three search warrants that resulted in the seizure of two computer towers, five cell phones, 28 floppy disks, two digital video cassettes, one handheld video recorder and 37 written journals from Roley.
The child pornography in Roley’s possession included 613 images of girls under the age of 18 in various stages of nudity and sexual acts.
Roley is currently lodged in the Fayette County Prison.
