Steve J. Critz “Jack”
Steve J. “Jack” Critz, 82, of Fairchance, Pa., passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born Saturday September 7, 1935 in Oliphant Furnace, Pa., the son of Andrew Critz and Margaret E. (Danko) Critz Mitchell.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Robert Critz and Jim Critz; sisters, Francie Durst, Billie Sullivan, Dorie Whipkey.
Surviving are his daughter, Jackie Critz; cousin, Mabel Critz; sister-in-law, Sherry Critz; nephew, Bruce and Kellie Beres and son Darin; and other nieces and nephews.
Jack served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, for many years and was a Life Member of Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club.
Jack was a very dedicated Manager of the Alfred Wilson Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7219 for many years until his retirement.
He was an avid golfer.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. A short Remembrance Service will begin at 8:00 p.m. by family and friends.
