Several preliminary hearings were held this week in Fayette County. The results include:

Cody Antwan Miller, 34, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was held for court Tuesday on charges of flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, false identification and disorderly conduct after he allegedly tried to run from police at El Patron Mexican Grill in South Union Township, April 28. Virginia investigators were tracking him for numerous alleged felony offenses and pinged his location by his cellphone. He is held without bail in Fayette County Prison.

A case filed against Theresa S. Fulton, 53, of Masontown was dismissed Tuesday. She had been charged with aggravated assault and simple assault for reportedly trying to stab a man May 20 during an argument about her smoking meth.

Michael B. Rugg, 39, of Dunbar waived five counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault, two counts of resisting arrest and strangulation Monday following an April 8 dispute at a home on Walnut Avenue in Dunbar. One count of aggravated assault was dismissed. He allegedly punched his wife and mother-in-law and hit the women with a metal broom. He was released from Fayette County Prison after $20,000 bail was posted on his behalf.
