Betty Marie Stewart

Betty Marie Stewart, 73, of Masontown, Pa., unexpectedly passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at her home.
She was born May 11, 1944 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late William R. Piper and Betty Marie (Cress) McCoy.
Betty was a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, Class of 1963.
She was a Seamstress and worked at Gateway Manufacturing in Masontown, Pa., prior to its closing and was later employed as a Waitress for 22 years at Janet’s Diner.
She was a member of Carmichaels First United Methodist Church, Carmichaels, Pa.
Betty was a volunteer at the PAX Community Dinner, Carmichaels, Pa., and volunteered for various organizations.
She wanted everyone to know that she loved her family very, very much and with all her heart, including her dog, Shadow.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Quinton Stewart of Masontown; grandson, Mike “Mikey” Cartier of Carmichaels, Pa.; sisters: Midge Gibson of Masontown, Pa., Wanda Boggs and husband Dave “Boggsie” of Uniontown, Pa., and Terri Cartier of Carmichaels, Pa.; brother Bill and wife Clara Piper of Carmichaels, Pa; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and daughter, Janeen.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Seven River Ave., Masontown, Pa., Monday, March 26, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m and Tuesday March 27, until 10:00 a.m., the hour of the Service in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment at Greendale Cemetery, Masontown.
