Jane “Jennie” Cecilia (Kaminsky) Ropejko
Jane “Jennie” Cecilia (Kaminsky) Ropejko, age 86, of Grindstone, passed away at Cherry Tree Nursing Center, after a long battle with cancer, on Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was born on July 28, 1931, daughter of the late Stanley and Antoinette Kaminsky.
She was a fantastic homemaker. Her family meant the world to her. She was a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Grindstone. She loved her dogs, Missy, Khole and Peaches.
Besides her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband John Anthony Ropejko; Brothers John Kaminsky, Frank Kaminsky, Joseph Kaminsky, Steven “Red” Kaminsky, Sisters Stephie Doobies, Viola Stotka, Marie Sabo, and Sophie Williams.
She is survived by daughter – Beverly Cernelli and husband Nick, daughter – Brenda Newman, son – Chris Ropejko and wife Kim, daughter – Sharon Grego and husband William.
She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, PA 15417 on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm., where transfer prayers will be conducted on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Cecilia Church, Grindstone, PA., officiated by Rev.
