New service in Connellsville seeks to help older adults

By The 1 min read

A new service based in Connellsville will provide assistance to older adults.

Advocates for the Aging, LLC (AFA) will provide services, such as paperwork and application assistance, negotiating with billing departments, account management, fraud protection, and in-home or care facility, via a monthly subscription plan.

According to Aaron Zolbord, president of AFA as well as the Health Insurance Store at 121 N. Pittsburgh St. in Connellsville, where AFA will be housed, the concept of the services allows families to take care of their loved ones even if they live miles away.

Zolbrod said the program is designed to help protect against scams and abuse and help older adults stay independent in their homes.

More information about the program can be found at www.a4aging.com.
