Masontown woman charged in attempted stabbing over meth

A Masontown woman is behind bars after she allegedly attempted to stab a man at about 10:30 Sunday night during an argument about her smoking crystal meth.

Theresa Sue Fulton, 53, of 726 Main St. is charged with aggravated assault and simple assault.

Kenneth Hunyady reported to police Fulton attempted to stab him at their home with a large kitchen knife, causing small lacerations to his arm which he used to shield himself. She allegedly attempted to stab him in the torso, but only punctured his shirt and caused a small red mark on his stomach, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in her case.

Fulton was arraigned Monday morning before on-call Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros, who set bail at $7,500. She remains in Fayette County Prison in lieu of bond.
