Mary Lou James Kopacko “Mame”
Mary Lou “Mame” (James) Kopacko, age 84, of New Salem, Pa., passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Latrobe Hospital.
She was born August 23, 1933 in Buffington, Pa., to the late Raymond and Emma (Hout) James.
Mary Lou was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
She was a member of the New Salem Christian Church.
Mary Lou is survived by two children: Lu Ann Prah of McClellandtown, Pa., Kenneth Kopacko and wife Leah of East Liberty, Ohio; grand children: Mark Prah Jr. and wife Bethany of New Salem, Pa., Tiffany Prah of McClellandtown, Pa.; great granddaughter, Penelope Prah and a great granddaughter expected in September of 2018; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend of 77 years, Janet Clark; a close neighbor and friend, Joanne Adams; and friends: Judy Shirik and Connie Collins.
She was predeceased by brothers, Jerry James and Michael James; and sister, Lois (James) Nagy
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Andy Miles and Rufus Peer, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park
