Nick A. Rogers
Nick A. Rogers, 87, of Washington, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa. died Thursday, May 24, 2018 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born March 20, 1931 in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Sam and Pauline Rogers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Rogers.
He retired in 1 995 after working more than 40 years at Rockwell International, Uniontown
He was a Corporal in the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal.
Mr. Rogers was a member of Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, Pa.
On February 4, 1956, in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church, Fairchance, Pa., he married Joann Kozlina. She died on November 7, 2015.
Surviving are a son, Nick and his wife Liz of Washington, Pa.; a daughter, Chris (Rod) of Washington, Pa.; three granddaughters: Caitlin Rogers, Mackenzie Rogers, Mallory Rogers all of Washington, Pa.; a sister, Palma Shetler and her husband Jim of Republic, Pa.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
Friends will be received in DONALD R CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., on Wednesday, May 30, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m and Thursday, May 31, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance Pa
Parish Wake Service will be held in funeral home Wednesday at 3:00.
