Helen Oyenik Sokol
Helen Oyenik Sokol age 94, of Brownsville, Pa., died peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
She was born on March 18, 1924 in Finleyville, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Lomaga) Oyenik.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Sokol on October 31, 1986 as well as her sisters, Sophie Oyenik, Mary Daraban, Anna Kish, and brothers, Charles Oyenik, John Oyenik, Andrew Oyenik, Stephen Oyenik.
Helen lived for many years in East Millsboro, Pa., and was an active life-long member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in West Brownsville, Pa.
Helen is survived by nephews: Steven (Terri) Oyenik, Randy Oyenik and his son Braden, and Brian Oyenik from the Brownsville area; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9 until 10 a.m.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, West Brownsville, Pa., with Rev. Father Theodore Shomsky officiating.
