February robbery of 88-year-old Acme woman remains unsolved
State police are continuing an investigation into a home invasion and robbery of an 88-year-old woman at a Kreinbrook Hill Road residence in Bullskin Township Feb. 21.
A man broke in to the residence between 4 and 5 p.m. by pushing an air conditioner through a back window, then confronted the woman in the living room where he reportedly grabbed her by the arm and demanded money. Police said she eventually gave the man $100 from her purse, and he fled out the front door.
The man reportedly tried to break in to the house through the front door and garage before climbing through the window. Police said they do not believe he thought anyone was home.
The suspect was described as a white man in his early 20s, approximately 5-feet 4-inches tall, skinny, weighing about 130 pounds with straight blond hair, no facial hair and no visible scars or tattoos.
There are an additional two or three unsolved burglaries in the area, state police said.
