John A. Newcomer
John A. Newcomer, 80, of Waltersburg, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family
Born March 6, 1938 in Uniontown, Pa., he was the son of the late Nedrow Glenn Newcomer and Nellie Louise Frank Newcomer
A resident of Smock, Pa., for over 50 years, Mr. Newcomer attended New Life Free Methodist Church in Smock.
He was a Truck Driver for over 48 years and now retired.
John was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.
John was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by the love of his life, Carol (Yoder) Newcomer, to whom he was married 56 years; two sons and a daughter-in-law: John and Heather Newcomer of Brownsville Pa., and Allen Newcomer of Smock, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Rhoda Newcomer of Florida; sisters: Doris Shamblin and Barbara Riley both of Ohio; his beloved pet dog, Nellie.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Newcomer and Robert Newcomer; and an infant sister, Mary Newcomer.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty Street, Perryopolis, PA 15473 (724.736.2515).
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Walls of the New Life Free Methodist Church officiating.
