Menallen man charged with inappropriately touching young girl
A Menallen Township man was locked up Tuesday after a young girl reported he touched her inappropriately in October.
Robert Nathaniel Kasievich, 34, is charged with corruption of minors and two counts of indecent assault.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case, the girl told her mother at 4 a.m. Oct. 17 the man put his hand in her pants. Fayette County Children and Youth Services was notified. During a forensic interview Nov. 5, she reportedly told investigators he climbed into bed with her and touched her genitals under her underwear.
The Herald-Standard does not identify those who allege they are victims of sex crimes.
State police filed charges against Kasievich Nov. 21. He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Jeffries, who set bail at $50,000 in the case. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 5 before Jeffries. Court documents do not indicate whether he has hired an attorney.
Kasievich has faced drug and theft charges in the past in Fayette County during three cases filed in 2014. Felony counts of receiving stolen property and possession with intent to deliver were dropped at preliminary hearings.
