Woodrow Allen Shaffer “Woody”
Woodrow Allen “Woody” Shaffer, age 54, Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with liver disease.
He was born on Wednesday September 9 1964 in Uniontown, Pa., son of William and Thelma (Porter) Shaffer.
After graduation from Albert Gallatin High School, Woody joined the United States Army and served in Desert Storm.
He lived in Philadelphia, Pa., for 20 years and recently returned to Uniontown.
He was a great person, brother and uncle.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Nancy Engle, Betty Grubbs, Shirley Miller, David Shaffer, Russell Shaffer, Robert Shaffer, Joseph Shaffer; special niece and nephew: Delta Burgess and Eddie Hagner, with whom he had a close relationship; numerous nieces and nephews; special fur baby, Angel, whom he loved dearly.
Woodrow’s family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 in theBLAIR- LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa.
A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa., with Full Military Rites and Honors.
