Uniontown City Police are looking for multiple people suspected of firing about 20 total shots in the area of Coolspring and Carlisle streets just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported in the shooting.

Two vehicles were hit. A window was shattered in a small sedan, and a bullet pierced the opposite window. An SUV was dented by gunfire, city police said.

Neighbors in the area said they heard many shots fired in quick succession. They said they did not see anyone firing a gun. Several expressed concern about the frequency of shootings in the area, especially in the daytime with children playing outside.

No arrests were made as of about 6 p.m. Tuesday. City police collected multiple shell casings in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Uniontown City Police Department at 724-430-2929 or Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 724-320-2042.

State police assisted at the scene.
