John Anthony Canada
John Anthony Canada, 69, of Dunbar, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 as the result of an accident.
He was born July 4, 1949 in Connellsville, a son of the late John Battiste and Grace Marie (Pilla) Canada.
John was a member of St. Rita RC Church. Following high school John worked for B&O Railroad in Hazelwood until 1975. He then went to Anchor Hocking Glass Container Corporation until 1998. Following his time with Anchor Hocking, John went to NobelClad, Mount Braddock where he currently held the position as Facilities Manager.
John loved being in the outdoors, especially when riding his motorcycle and cutting grass. Most of all, John loved spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon (Mullen) Canada, two daughters; Nicole Jesko and husband Chad, and Dr. Gina Canada- Kenney and husband Jaison, four grandchildren; Chad and Evelyn Jesko, and Ella and Charles Kenney. John is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME 123 S. 1st St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033 on Saturday from 4-8PM, and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A Blessing Service will be held Monday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM in St. Rita RC Church with Fr. Dan Ulishney as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery.
