Richard D. Mitchell
Richard D. Mitchell, 61, of Deep Run, NC and formerly of Ohiopyle, PA died peacefully October 9, 2018 at UNC-Chapel Hill, NC with his wife, Shirleen “Charlie” by his side.
Born May 7, 1957 in Connellsville, PA, he was the son of the late Donald and Mary Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, daughter Nicole Mitchell of Brockway, PA, and two brothers Jeff and Mark Mitchell of Ohiopyle.
Richard was a 1975 graduate of Uniontown High School. He was a truck driver for various companies finishing his career with Wal-Mart Transportation. Richard loved his family and his pets. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and working on his pickup trucks.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 14th at 3:00 pm at the church he attended, Christian Chapel FWB Church in Pink Hill, NC.
Interment and a service will be held at a future date in Irwin Memorial Cemetery, Ohiopyle, PA.
