John Francis Zavatchan
John Francis Zavatchan, 65, of West Leisenring, Pa., died on Friday, October 12, 2018 at home.
He was born December 10, 1952 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Michael Zavatchan and Elizabeth (Tajc) Zavatchan.
He was a Life Member of the West Leisenring Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Fayette Coal & Coke.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Ridley Zavatchan son, John F. (Kristie) Zavatchan Jr. of Connellsville, Pa; brother Raymond (Cindy) Zavatchan, Connellsville, Pa.; sisters: Rose Marie (Michael) Gabaletto of Nemacolin, Pa., Monica (Robert) Solarchick of WeymouthMassachusetts Karen (Randy) Boyer of West Leisenring, Pa.; four grandchildren: John Kostelnik, Aaron, Benjamin and Abigail Zavatchan; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela Kostelnik; and brothers, Michael Zavatchan and Ronald “Beans” Zavatchan.
Friends will be received today 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in BURHANS -CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa.
Morning Prayers in the funeral home Wednesday October 17, at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville with Father Daniel J. Ulishney as the Celebrant.
Interment to follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery
