Rocco James Mitchell
Rocco James Mitchell, 83, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
He was born August 13, 1935 in Centerville, Pa., the son of Robert and Susan (Marish) Mitchell
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joanne (Mitchell) Harden; and Joanne’s husband, John Harden, and their son, Joseph Harden.
Rocco graduated in 1953 from Centerville High School and served his country in the United States Army.
He was a Mail Supervisor at the United States Post Office in Brownsville, Pa., and retired in 1990.
Rocco was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Coal Center, Pa.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Patricia (Rafferty) Mitchell; three children: Robert Mitchell and his wife Lisa of Brownsville, Pa., Tracy Dillon and her husband Dave of Washington, Pa., Shawn Mitchell of Chicago, Illinois; three grandsons: Robert, Enrico, Vernon; sister, Marie Moskovitz; brother-in-law, Dave Rafferty and Merlen; three nephews and one niece: Frank, John, Jolene and John Jr.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today, October 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, October 19, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Custer officiating.
Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
