Judith “Dukie” (Grimes) Teets
Judith “Dukie” (Grimes) Teets, 80, of Connellsville, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born July 29, 1938 in Beeson Works (Uniontown), a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Ann (Sellers) Grimes.
Judy loved her family fiercely and devoted her life helping with her 15 brothers and sisters, and raising her five children. Judy enjoyed reading her Bible, playing Yahtzee, cooking, and spending any free time with her family.
Judy is survived by her loving children; Donald Teets and wife Pam, Charles Teets and wife Cindy, Bill Teets and wife Theresa, Michael Teets and fianc*e Janice Heater, and Tabitha Adanitsch and fianc* Morris Spells, son-in-law; David Adanitshc, loving grandchildren; Donnie Teets and wife Erin, Jeff Teets and wife Sarah, Shane Teets, Kara Nicholson and husband Jim, Joe and Justin Teets, ans Ashley, Brianna, and Madeline Adanitsch, great-grandchildren; Max, Layla, Sophia, Keira, Jay, Ryder, Remington, and Ruger. Judy also loved her brothers and sisters; Margaret “Peg” Stefan, Esther Hannigan, Lois Grimes, Mary Holler, Lorraine (Kraus) Holler, Jerry Grimes, John Grimes and wife Peggy, Barb Walters, Evelyn Stootsman and husband Terry, Linda Garred and husband Greg, and Chris Grimes. Dukie also loved countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, and very special friends Dick and Charlene Schroyer.
In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her husband Charles Teets (1979), a sister; Constance Silbaugh, two brothers; James Grimes, and Elmer Grimes Jr., and infant siblings Shirley and Robert Grimes.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME 123 S.1st St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033 on Saturday from 6-8PM, Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM, and Monday from 10-10:30AM the hour of service with Pastor Matt Goldsbury officiating. Interment will follow in Normalville Cemetery.
