Monongahela man killed in two-vehicle crash

A Monongahela man died following a two-vehicle accident Monday morning.

Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco said Edward Martin Moser, 36, was pronounced dead at 7:09 a.m. following a crash near the intersection of Shannon Road and Locust Grove Lane in Monongahela at 6:03 a.m.

Martin was the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, and the unidentified driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital, Warco said.

The other driver’s condition was not released.

The incident is under investigation by the Carroll Township Police Department, and police were assisted at the scene by Carroll Township VFD and Tri-Community Ambulance.

Warco said that the cause and manner of Moser’s death are pending.
