Ralph J. Baluch
Ralph J. Baluch, 90, of Perryopolis, joined his creator on Thursday, April 11, 2019, with his loving family by his side.
He was born September 3, 1928 to John and Mary Phillips Baluch. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Laurissa Ellis; grandson, Jared Ellis and six siblings.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Josephine Denitti Baluch; three daughters, Rochelle Baluch, Lori Ellis and Pamela Johnson, all of Perryopolis; grandsons, Daniel Ellis of Freeport, Aaron Ellis of Huntsville Texas; great-grandson, Gunner Ellis; siblings, Katherine Stickle and Paul (Doris) Baluch, of Perryopolis; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A lifelong resident of Perryopolis and a Korean war veteran, he was a retired steel worker and most of all a farmer. He was a pied piper with a tractor for many kids and adults alike. He was always an historic tour guide whether on the tractor on the farm or on an interstate road trip. A masterful April fool prankster, Ralph could punk you every year. He will always be remembered as the man you could depend on to help when you dialed 1.800. I need Ralph.
Ralph’s family will receive friends and family 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, where Prayers of Transfer will held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17 followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Perryopolis with Father Alvin Cabungcal, celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis.
Members of the church will pray the Rosary at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
