Paul Michael Martin
Paul Michael Martin, 64, of Smithfield, passed away February 1, 2019 at his home.
He was born on Christmas Day 1954 in Uniontown, son of the late Paul G. and Rose (Raubaugh) Martin and was the last surviving male of the Martin family.
Paul attended Albert Gallatin High School (1972) and received a degree from Penn State Fayette (1975) in Mining Technology. He worked in the mining industry while earning his Foreman’s Certificates in Pa., Ohio, and Ala. Afterwards he spent 20 years in Purchasing for a local manufacturer, Stahls Hotronix.
He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Farmington, where he enjoyed serving as an usher. Paul appreciated the simple pleasures of life and was grateful for his abundance of blessings!
Paul is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Clawges and husband John “J.D.”; grandsons, John “Jace”, Daxton “Dax” and Skyler of Morgantown, W.Va. His sister, Paulette Hixenbaugh and husband Donald; nephews Barry and Michael; niece Sherri Capuano; great-niece, Sophia Rose all in Ohio; and numerous cousins.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA Tuesday, February 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday until 10:00 a.m. when Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Father James F. Petrovsky officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
