Shirley M. (Grammy) McKenney Myers
Shirley M. (Grammy) McKenney Myers, age 86, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in the Uniontown Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Connellsville on February 16, 1932, daughter of the late Albert McKenney and Ollie Markey McKenney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Myers; a son, Joseph A. Myers; three brothers, Clyde, Morris and Albert McKenney; six sisters, Jean Bootz, Ruth Meese, Naoma Kvartek, Alberta Bosley, Rebecca McKinney and Anna Bell Blystone.
Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Senior Saints and M.O.P.S. Her faith in the Lord was evident in all she did, especially with her family.
Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are two daughters, Nancy Jo Minnick of Uniontown and Tammy Lynn Savage of West Leisenring; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where family and friends will be received on Friday, February 15, from 9 until 11 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Shirley’s life at 11 a.m. with Reverend Ron Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
