Man charged with exposing himself to students in North Union Township

By The 1 min read

State police said a Uniontown man exposed himself last week to five girls who were on a practice run for a high school track meet.

The girls reportedly told police they saw a man, later identified as Daulton J. Hixon, 24, in a silver hatchback parked on North Gordon Street in North Union Township on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the girls reported the man was performing a sexual act on himself, prompting them to go to authorities out of concern for their safety as well as the safety of the children at nearby Lafayette School.

Police said they reviewed security camera footage and put out a notice to other local departments to be on the lookout for the vehicle. They were able to track down Hixon after going to his former address, and located his vehicle at a shopping plaza in Uniontown, according to court paperwork.

Police said Hixon confessed to exposing himself and was charged with one felony count of corruption of minors and misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and open lewdness.

He was committed to Fayette County Prison after being unable to post a $25,000 bond.
